ffmpeg (GPL source offer)

RocSite's video features (RocCut, Clip Desk, the Media Library) call the ffmpeg program as a separate process. The ffmpeg build in our service images is the Debian package, which is compiled with --enable-gpl and includes the x264 and x265 encoders, so it is licensed under the GNU General Public License. RocSite's own code does not link to ffmpeg and is not licensed under the GPL.

Source offer. For the GPL parts of that build, RocSite will give any person who received the program from us a copy of the corresponding source code on request, for no more than the cost of physically performing the distribution. The exact source is the Debian source package for the ffmpeg version in our image; it is also available from packages.debian.org. To ask for it, write to [email protected].

Where we ever distribute an image to a customer, we ship an LGPL build of ffmpeg in it instead.

Fonts (SIL Open Font License 1.1)

RocSite serves these typefaces from its own servers. Each is licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1. The full licence text is at /assets/fonts/OFL-1.1.txt. The font files we serve are modified: they are converted to the WOFF2 web format and reduced to the Latin character set.
